We live in a remote part of our state, which requires us to travel at least 5 hours to get to “civilization” or to see either side of our family. So since road tripping is frequent, we eat our fair share of snacks. In order to be more “healthy,” we picked up this newish line of Wheat Thins. (Apparently there are about 50 different flavors/varieties of Wheat Thins these days.) The Vermont White Cheddar flavor falls under the Artisan line, which differs from regular Wheat Thins because they are hexagons rather than normal squares. Overall, not a bad cracker, but nothing amazing above a normal Wheat Thin.
(Yeah, I know this is a pathetically small picture)
Mike: I found the flavor to be a little overbearing, to where it almost tasted like a cracker with Easy Cheese. And I’ve had my fair share of those. Along with that, I didn’t necessarily enjoy the flavor, making it not only not that tasty, but overbearingly not that tasty. However, I imagine that it would be more satisfying in a dip or something that is more complimentary to the flavor than straight up. 5/10.
Sandi: I agree that the first time I tasted these they had a bit too much of a fake cheese flavor to them for my liking. However as I continued to eat them (they weren’t inedible by any means) they did grow on me a bit. 6.3/10.

I read this a long time ago, and was just checking to see if you’d put anything new up lately, when I noticed Sandi’s score for Vermont White Cheddar Wheat Thins. 6.3? How did you get that number? I need a scale or something to check back on. Like where are regular Wheat Thins on the scale? What food is a 10, what food is a 3.7? Give me something to weigh this 6.3 against, or I’ll start to think it’s completely arbitrary . . .
